Hi Everyone,
Further to my email on the 3rd June regarding a Provisional Date for 15th SKIEF European Championships in 2021, I can now confirm that the OC have been in touch with us and advised that due to the Pandemic, and no vaccine available as of yet they have therefore made the decision that the Tournament will not run in 2021 as they originally envisaged. It is looking more like 2022, but nothing is definite, and we aren't sure how viable that will be due to the WC being held in 2022 in Japan.
This is disappointing for all the athletes who were selected to represent GB, but we totally understand the situation that they are in and also the Federation at International level - students health and safety is always paramount to the Federation but even more so at uncertain times that we are in.
Further information will be circulated as and when it comes available.
