Following on from my email on Tuesday, I have some another update to share with you all. Today the EKF announced that following a meeting with Sport England, they have now agreed that Indoor Karate can resume from the 25th July 2020 BUT with significant restrictions! This is obviously for England, we are still waiting on further guidance for Wales (WKGB) and Scotland (SKGB) and so I will share this with you as soon as I have been advised.

We as a Federation are working hard to ensure that all clubs and students are supported in the best possible way as we transition back to our Dojo’s.

Further Guidance will be issued in due course.

Please note that there is still a Suspension of Karate Training unless Online until these guidelines have been issued and approved.

We advise you to liaise with your facility provider(s) on any requirements that they may insist on. Also don’t assume that they will open as normal to Lettings - you need to contact them and ask the question. We are aware that a number of School Lettings are not accepting recreational hire until the earliest September when the new Academic Year starts.

This is great news, however, there are a number of guidelines that we will need to adhere to enable this to happen.

Further communication will follow at the earliest opportunity.

Thank you for your continued patience and support. Please ensure that all instructors in your club are made aware of this.

Stay Safe
