Hi Everyone,
We hope this email finds you all well and your Return to the Dojo is going smoothly. Following the Government Announcement on Wednesday 9th September, further restrictions were imposed in England from Monday 14th September with regards to Social Distancing. Thankfully this doesn't directly impact Outdoor or Indoor Karate Training as we are a COVID Secure Organised Team Sport.
However, please be aware that your Facilities Provider may impose further restrictions and or possibly cancel lettings due to these changes. Therefore, we would recommend that you contact them and stay in close contact with them during this everchanging situation.
We would like to reiterate to all our Clubs and Instructors that it is absolutely imperative that you follow The Dojo ni Kaeru Guidelines and Risk Assessment when teaching. The main things to really focus on are:
- Separate Entrance and Exits into the Dojo
- Regular use of appropriate Hand Sanitiser and Washing of Hands for 20 seconds before and after training
- Everyone should arrive to training in their Gi, limit the use of the changing rooms to get changed and no showering
- Suitable Footwear to train in - nobody should be barefoot due to contamination and the risks
- No congregating of students and parents before, during or after training - everyone should disperse promptly following the conclusion of the Lesson in a socially distanced manner
As Instructors it is important that YOU control the Risk, keep the infection risk low and do not allow for any unnecessary risks.
