Hi Everyone,
We hope you have all enjoyed the Summer Break and managed to get away somewhere to recharge the battery. Please find attached the Entry Form for the upcoming National Championships in October.
A few things to note:
- Please can club instructors ensure that any student competing has a 2024 licence. No licence then no competing.
- The Closing date for Entries is Monday 30th September. All entries must be submitted on or before this date. Any received after this won't be processed.
- If a student puts an entry in and you bring cash with you on the day and they are a no show then you will still need to pay.
- We have tried to encourage more younger students and lower graded students to participate and so have included a few new events.
- Please be mindful that some events may have to merge if there aren't enough competitors but I will notify club instructors if this is the case.
- Mixed Jiyu Kumite (10-11 Years) 3rd Kyu +: Chuden Techniques only (Mitts & Gumshield is required)
- Male & Female Kumite 12-15 Years both Chudan and Jodan techniques are permitted, control must be exercised and ZERO contact on the Jodan techniques. Points will only be awarded if they Kiai - no kiai, then no point will be rewarded. This will all be discussed with all judges and referees on the day.
As we ran out of time in April the Regional Team Event will be run in the Autumn Nationals, criteria is the same as what it would have been in April.
Regional Team Event:
2 x Senior Male Kumite (16 years +)
1 x Master Male Kumite (40 Years + & 3rd Kyu and above)
1 x Female Kumite (16 Years +)
1 x Male Kumite (13-15 years)
1 x Adult Kata (16 Years +, 3rd Kyu & Above, Mixed Sex)
Please can you ensure that all parents and students are advised of the requirements for their events i.e. gumshields and mitts if necessary etc.
