Kyōtō Shotokan Karate Dojo is pleased to announce that from September 2024 our Wednesday evening classes have moved to a new venue — The Rock Centre in Lawrence Weston, Bristol.
This update marks an exciting step forward for the dojo, allowing us to continue delivering high-quality traditional Shotokan karate training in a space that better supports our growing student base.
From Avonmouth Rugby Club to The Rock Centre
Our Wednesday sessions were previously held at Avonmouth Rugby Club. As the dojo continues to grow, we have made the decision to relocate these classes to The Rock Centre to provide a more suitable and accessible training environment.
The new venue offers a strong community setting and allows us to further develop our structured class delivery for both beginners and experienced students.
What This Means for Students

- Continued focus on traditional Shotokan karate (kihon, kata, kumite)
- Improved training environment
- Clear progression pathway for all grades
All existing Wednesday students are encouraged to attend at the new venue, and new students are very welcome to join us.
