We hope all of our students, families and supporters have had an enjoyable festive period and are ready to begin another year of training.
The start of a new year is always an excellent time to return to training, refocus on personal goals and continue progressing through regular karate practice.
Throughout 2022, students across the dojo continued to develop strongly through kihon (fundamentals), kata and kumite training, alongside gradings, seminars and squad development opportunities. With 2023 now beginning, we look forward to another year of hard work and steady improvement.
Training will continue across our Bristol venues with classes suitable for beginners through to advanced grades.
Traditional Shotokan Karate in Bristol
At Kyōtō Shotokan Karate Dojo, training follows the traditional principles of Shotokan karate under the Shotokan Karate International Federation (SKIF).

Beginners Welcome
New beginners are always welcome.
Students can attend a free trial period and experience multiple sessions to gain an understanding of how training works within the dojo.
