SKIF-GB welcomes Kancho Kanazawa back to Nottingham for its 2026 Autumn Seminar on Saturday 24 October. Two training sessions will take place at Nottingham Wildcats Arena, with all karate-ka welcome to attend.

Kyōtō Chief Instructor Steve Ashby travelled to Exeter to teach two sessions at SKIF Devon, covering everything from grading-focused kihon, gohon kumite and Heian Shodan to competition movement, jiyū kumite tactics and the art of “fishing” for an opponent’s response.

Our next Kyōtō Kyu & Mon Grading takes place on Sunday 11th October 2026 at St Bede’s Catholic College, following our 30th Anniversary Seminar weekend. Eligible students will be notified around a week beforehand.

The Wales & Southwest Squad returns to Bristol on Sunday 20th September for its next Development Session, providing a final opportunity to train together just one week before the 52nd SKIF-GB National Championships in Nottingham.

The 52nd SKIF-GB National Championships take place at Nottingham Wildcats Arena on Sunday 27th September 2026. Kyōtō karateka will join competitors from across Great Britain for a full day of kata and kumite competition.

Kyōtō Chief Instructor Steve Ashby has been invited to teach at Kaizen No-Michi on Saturday 5th September 2026, leading dedicated sessions for both Tigers and adult karateka.
